An Unlucky Day
0 comments

Haiiz...2dae haf been a very very unlucky day...
So many unfortunate things has happened..

Signs of an unlucky Day :
Lets start frm Morn...
1) Woke up at 930 when i waz suppose to wake up at 900 to go back to school to collect my windbreaker...
2) ALMOST overshot my bus stop...luckily..the bus driver waz kind enuff to drop me along the main rd..
3) Juz when i collected my windbreaker...i realised that Mr Jeffery Chan made changed to the design of the windbreaker...Abt 3 wks back...he asked Me , Jason , CK , Aloysius and Breyann hw we felt abt the default design...all of us objected strongly..so he suggested that we make a new design for him...which we did..and spent abt 2 -3 hrs doing it after a day of band prac...we edited and revamp the design..making it unique..we also included the colour of the thing we wanted..but in the end..He not only didnt tell us that he rejected our proposal...he even included the words "Vocal Ensemble " on our jackets...which is an insult to the history of EXODUS...
4) After collecting my windbreaker...i waz suppose to take 107 down to Hougang sports complex to find Terr and gang...but in the end ....i end up at Hougang int..
5) So...As i overshot...i went to check the alternative buses i can take to hougang sports hall...And retardedly...i actually tot that 147 will lead me thr when i waz looking at the directory for 107...So..i end up taking 147...Until abt 5 stops..den i realised that im on the wrong bus..so i alighted...and waited for 113..which then led me thr...
6) Reached Hougang Sports Hall..and played Bmt there...While playing bmt...As terrence waz not looking where he waz shooting..the actually smashed the shuttle on my shoulder blade...
7) and thats not the end of it...later in the game...Joyce smashed the shuttle and hit my chin -.- ...
8) After BMT ...We followed Terra's instincts and took 328...which waz suppose to lead us to hougang mall to take 153 to tpy but in the end..lead us somewhere else...
We then allighted and waited for a cab...We waited for abt 15 mins until Joyce and Terra got pissed off and we decided to call a cab to bring us to tpy...
9) Juz when the cab which we called waz turning in...2 empty cabs drove past us at that very moment...Zzz...
We reached Tpy and went to Koufu for lunch...Gerwyn , Zh , Jasper and Clarence joined us too...
10) After lunch , we then went to tpy safra...but as we walking half way...the girls ( Geraldine and Joyce ) complained that they were very tired and want to take a bus ( which is only 1 bus stop away !!!! ) ...so we took 26 ...But somehow...juz when the bus reached that bus stop...none of us pressed the bell..so..We then alighted at the next bus stop..which is somewhere along the expressway...
We tried walking back...but it waz juz too far away..so..we took a cab back to safra...
We went Safra to play pool...played frm 3 -5 ....
11) Haiiz...As all of us were carried away by the pool game...we didnt realised that Clarence's walllet waz missing until we were abt to leave...=/

Haiiz...11 Series of unfortunate events in a day...At this rate...i'll haf enuff of unfortunate events to publish a book liao la...

Hmmz..I'll be leaving for Japan , tokyo 2nite for band exchange...
Will only be back on 4/12/07 ...
So ya...Must miss me hor =x
Dun worry...if possible...i'll try to get you'll presents..^^
Stay safe and ya..
SEE You'll Soon !!!

Had StrawBerry Donut frm " Munching Donuts" for breakfast before gg to Nee Soon Camp...Saw Ms Lame when i entered the hall...den she passed me the contact list of the whoe Contigent 2...the photcopier is a blardy scammer sia...1 side of a paper charge us 20cents..zzz...
We started the day with display Techniques...Miraculously we completed all 9 sets of movements...=D Although i wuld say tt we didnt do it perfectly well...but still..it is an achievement to every1 us to be able to complete the task given to us...

It waz a short walk to the auditorium for our last Lecture..Surprisingly..it is conducted by The conductor of ACS(I) and ACJC , Dr Lee Tian Tee...He taught the DMs Elements of a good performance and taught the BMs Rehearsal techniques...We then had to walk quite a distance to the White House...Which is the 'home' of the SAF bands...there waz a heritage tour arnd the white house and the place looks rather cool...and maybe...this might be the place i'll be heading for after my 3 mths of bmt when i go NS =x I felt so honoured to be able to hear the live recording of a xmas song played by the SAF Central Band... =D We had our lunch in the white house as we were waiting for the rain to stop...
We had our POP rehearsal as soon as we get back to the Camp...Rehearsed our March pass...and we ( Bms and Dms ) did a runthough once...felt rather cool though... =D Although i admit i made abt 2 mistakes =/

Yay...tmr will be our Passing-out parade...Cant wait to wear the full U wif blazer , sash and white gloves + mace =D...
To all NCO-ers...All the best tmr !!!!

Target Achieved....

2dae morning waz raining freaking heavily lar...zzz...so heavy until i dun feel like waking up..but as usual...woke up...bathe ...and got rdy for NCO camp...as i waz waiting for the mrt to arrive...i met Dominic ( Dm of SJI ) in the station...we then chatted as we went to katib station...On the bus there..Aryani, AKA Ms Lame ( Dm of QueensWay sec ) created a document for us ( Contigent 2 ) to fill in our particulars , Name , E -mail address , Hp no. , etc....So for the whole day...we helped her out by passing that slip of paper to every1 and miraculously ....We managed to get the particulars of all 44 members of Contigent 2 =x

As it waz raining heavily...Footdrills waz conducted in the MPH ( Multi-Purpose Hall )...2dae's drills focused more on...Marching as well as our co-ordination when all 3 contigents does the drills tgt...Went for Lecture conducted by Mr Jaffar Sidek Bin Ahmad...Although Mr Jaffar waz rather nervous when he waz teaching...but i can absolutely understand it as...he's actually blind...so..to share a story to a grp of abt 140 odd of us..is really a very difficult task...The lesson for 2dae 's lecture is entitled " Music : Inspiration and Aspiration "...and i think Mr Jaffar has certainly accomplished his task as i waz really really touched by his story...and of cuz...w/o a shadow of a doubt...he is definately 1 of the greatest musician alive 2dae as due to his sickness..he waz nt able to read the score...but still..he waz able to play pieces given to him..or even better...And to wrap up the lecture...he rewarded us with 2 beautiful songs using a guitar and his vocals...

After the mini-concert...we went back to MPH for our basic techniques lesson...sadly...grp 2 only managed to practice for abt 15 mins cuz the time were mostly taken up by grp 1...Had our Tea Break...Den we had our TeamBuilding Games...Truthfully..the games organised were fun as it really put our ability to work as a team to the test...but sadly...due to the lack of time... we were only able to complete 4 out of the 5 stations...Next waz lunch...But i didnt eat as i waz still very full after the Tea Break which waz merely 1 1/2hrs ago...

MaceWork waz next...Although at the start...Contigent 2 waz rather 'slackish' and 'sloppish'...but still...all 44 of us shares a common mentality...which is to keep on reheasrsing and practicing tgt as 1 so as to make things perfect and to sort out any uncertainties...After abt 45 mins...all 3 contigents gathered and rehearse our co-ordinations and all our movements...Im Really really very proud to be in this batch of Dms which accomplished something remarkable in this camp...which is that we actually learnt everything our officers had taught us abt mace techniques as well as formations within merely 8 of the 12 hrs allocated to us for mace works...

I believe that if one waz to put in his/her heart and soul into smth he/she likes or desires...he/she is most likely to succeed in life as theres a saying " You reap wht you sow "
All NCO-ers ...Take care and have faith in everything you do and always believe in yrself as we r leaders =D ...

lalalalala.....
2nd day at NCO camp...

Met up wif Jason as usual at Katib Mrt at 710...but 2dae waz more interesting...as i got to know more ppl...and became more sociable too..When we reached Nee Soon camp..the 1st person who recognised me waz Safria...yep..den he walked towards me and jason..and we started talking and chatted casually..after tt..we were told to assemble and we had footdrills for like..1 1 /2 hr..and the footdrills were carried out in a blardy scorching hot sun la...-.- perspired like siao liddat..budden our Sir ( Staff ) waz kind as he gave us several water breaks...so as to keep our body hydrated and not to tire ourselves out...Damm Paiseh la...blardy hell...ppl " Henta Kaki - Chipat - Jalan " is swing right hand niaz.. but i waz the only 1 tt swung both arms la... -.- den tio jag in the face siaz...siianz...budden overall... our drills were rather neat...juz that we are not 'sharp' enuff when turning , etc...Walked to the auditorium for our 2nd Lecture of the camp ...its abt Band Movement and Band Leadership roles...Ms Ho showed us 2 video clips and a slide presentation..i would say tt..despite it being not as interesting as the lecture ytd..but the key points were easier to capture as it waz rather str8 foward...

The next programme lined-up for us waz display Techniques...it waz abt co-ordinations and moving into a certain position in order to create a 'diagram' ...spent abt 1 hr ++ doing it..and enjoyed it too...Initially...the manual given to us looked rather complex..but after being taught how to read it..it waz actually very simple to understand...

When it waz time to eat 'lunch'...every1 juz chiong-ed for the food once it waz brought into the MPH...This 'Rewarded' us wif a lecture by the Officer-in-charge as we weren't suppose to even take the food cuz none of the camp officers gave us any permission in the 1zt place...After being scolded...we continued with our mace work in the parade square...Had lots of fun as we did lots of mace work and marching...as well as formations...In addition..we had the BMs to entertain us wif their beautiful music =x

2dae waz damm tiring...play wif the mace until so tired...muscle aching siaz..blehz..hopefully it wont affect my performance on fridae...
